The EU financed campaign European Culinary Delights aims to promote the unique PDO/PGI products from Greece and Romania to consumers in USA and UK and also highlight the remarkable nutritional qualities and European heritage of these products.

The European Green Deal sets out how to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. It maps a new, sustainable and inclusive growth strategy to boost the economy, improve people's health and quality of life, care for nature, and leave no one behind.

The EU schemes encourage diverse agricultural production, protect product names from misuse and imitation and help consumers by giving them information concerning the specific character of the products.

Sustainability has become one of the most important topics on the official European agenda. The European Union has implemented a set of policies and actions called the European Green Deal. 

EU legislation sets strict criteria guaranteeing the standards of all European products. Cultivation and production methods meet international and European quality and safety standards.

The Farm  to  Fork  Strategy  is  at  the  heart of the Green Deal, aiming to make food systems fair, healthy and environmentally-friendly. The strategy is also central to the Commission’s agenda to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The main objective of the European Commission’s food safety policy is to ensure a high level of protection of human health and consumer interests relating to food, taking also into account the diversity and the effective functioning of the internal market.
